I'm writing to refute the bad reviews I saw for this fridge! I came to this site to try to find a reasonable resale price for mine, which I am selling ONLY because I should have bought a counter-depth to begin with and I'm finally renovating my condo. Otherwise I LOVE it, works great, zero problems, still looks great, and I'm sorry to need to get rid of it!

It works well, our main problem is almost all of our shelves have cracked and are falling apart. The shelves are $80-$100 to replace, and since nearly all of them are breaking we'll likely just buy a whole new refrigerator.

I've had it for 6 years and it is still running fine. Some of the drawers and shelves are cracked. I feel like the shelving is too deep, and it's hard to reach things all the way in the back. The best thing is how easy it is to clean. When things get dirty, it doesnt take much to wipe it clean. Overall, alot of storage space for things.

I have had this refrigerator for four years now, so it's still keeping my food nice and chilled, but the plastic inside is CHEAP! The drawers cracked within the first few months, and somehow the back wall (inside the refrigerator), where the lower light is located, has cracked out as well. I've had to replace two drawers and for now I've duct taped the cracks on the wall! HAHA!! Needless to say, I'm no longer thrilled with Whirlpool's poor quality anymore. I have a dishwasher from Whirlpool and I just replaced a stove with a different brand, because even though whirlpool has been more affordable, the quality has gone downhill.

When our old refrigerator died, we decided to replace it with a side by side since our kitchen is so small.I love the glass shelves. I move them around to easily accommodate whatever I have to store, big or small.The doors have nice deep shelves which hold a LOT of items! The filter is simple to replace. I woulddefinitely purchase this refrigerator again!

This refrigerator ice maker spring had broken and would cost a lot to replace. The filters are very expensive and at the bottom of the refrigerator so you have to almost lay down on the floor to get them out.

1st year the ice maker always with problems. Never defrosts. The door ice and water bin never worked properly. At one point we were able to use the cubed ice (not crushed) but that was for a short while. Tired of repairing and stopped using. Freezer doesnt defrost properly which freezes coils and blocks air from going to refrigerator. Waste!

I basically love my frige but......

I love my frige, when its working correctly it is very cold (which is awesome when you need a cold drink on a hot day). However when it is not working, it freezes between the refrigerator & freezer, not allowing cold air into the frige.(I have lost a frige full of food on several occasions now) It has been a fan motor or something that has to be replaced twice now, & waiting on the 3rd time now the tech. is scheduled for 4 days from now, unless they get a cancelation between now & then. I do believe the drawers could have been designed a little stronger in the track area & items do tend to get knocked off the back of the shelves. As for the shelving for the freezer, it could have been better. I came home one day and found part of my ice bucket broken & sitting on food below it in the freezer, still not real sure what happened there. Overall I do love my frige, (you can fit a large pizza box in there is need be) I would recommend it, but I would tell them to really check out the shelving & the drawers before making a choice. p.s. I have only had my frige for 3 yrs now.

For the most part, we've enjoyed this refrigerator in our home. Love the water and ice dispenser in the door and the fact that it is filtered water. The "but" comes from the cheaply made door bins and interior shelves. One bin has cracked and broken is completely useless. We also have two of the shelves in the refrigerator that are starting to crack. Who knows how much longer they will last. And the kicker is, the bins are $26.00 and the shelves are $95.00 to order replacements. Seems kind of ridiculous that we've spent that much money on this refrigerator and now we have to spend another $250 to get it back to the shape it was in when new and there is no guarantee that the shelves and bins we order will be any better than the ones we already have. Personally, I would stay away from this refrigerator and any that come with plastic bins and shelves.

I bought this item and it was damaged in shipment.Whirlpool acted quickly to send a replacement, great service!A few picky comments:I had to purchase a door tray to fully utilize the door storage usage.These trays could be improved with clear bottoms to ease contents viewingUnit needs an additional shelf to fully utilize the refrigerator compartmentUnit needs some good method of egg storageThe freezer door buttons could be illuminated by LED's.Even with the perceived shortcomings the unit is very quiet and functional!

The product works well. Doesn't have the bells and whistles you may be looking for, but it keeps track of your water filter and it is very cold. Sometimes less is more. In this case it is.

I chose this model for the reviews about it and the price. The unit works great, food stays fresh, and the ice freezes really hard. The water tastes really good, a lot better quality then the tap water I get. It takes a little time to get use to the noise of the ice maker. Other than the ice cube noise, everything is fine so far.

OUR LAST UNIT Was a Whirlpool it was 20 or 25 years old. It became very loud as it got older. This new unit I love for you do not hear it. at first I had to get up at night to see if it was working. To me this is the best quality.

Making a large appliance purchase now that we are retired and on a fixed income was one made only after researching all I could. In the end no one could match these features at the price I paid. The inside size is a little larger. I really like the shelves with easy height adjustment. The freezer section is well lit. The cycles are quiet.

We owned a simiilar whirlpoolr 25 cu.ft. refrigerator, which had an undershelf tray and a small 1/2 tray at the top level. It seemed more up-scale and was more convenient to store food. It lasted 11 years, and was the reason we replaced it with another Whirlpool model, which fit our built-in space.The new frig had no new innovations, did not have a convenient top half-tray, not under-bin tray. As far as we could see, it had no new innovations. We think it is a "stripped-down" model, meant to lower costs.I'm sure it will be fine for endurance, cleanabiility,. performasnce and appearance, but we really expected to get at least as many or more useful, up-scale features as our last, similar model.

When using the ice maker it tends to throw ice out around the cup on to the floor when in crush mode. You should look at improving that. Other than that I really like the unit.

My former traditional refrigerator was smaller but seemed to hold more. I feel that an extra shelf or two will solve that. The produce keeps much longer.Love the features--water and ice dispenser and the freezer space is very generous.Overall, we are very pleased with the product.

I bought this one because it was 5 cu ft larger than my old one. BUT the inside of the frig is NOT as large and open as my old one. The freezer is bigger...but I really would have preferred the room be in the frig side.The product is great though and I have no real complaints.

We purchased this refrigerator to replace an 18 year old Whirlpool which was still working. We like white, it had the space,looks and features we wanted. We knew Whirlpool builds a great product. It is quiet, makes plenty of filtered ice. We were surprised it did't have an upper meat drawer. But we just use a container which is a lot easier to access anyway and leaves more room for other items. We are very pleased.

Fantastic refrigerator for the money. I love the water filter system and particularly the ease of changing the filter - it is a brilliant design. The only minor complaint I have is that it is not very good at cooling the water it dispenses because, instead of a proper internal reservoir, it uses a cheap coil of plastic tubing which is actually visible inside the refrigerator at the bottom rear behind the produce drawers. Given the great price, however, I really can't complain about that. It would be nice if they offered as an aftermarket accessory an alternative reservoir to replace the plastic tubing. The ice maker is a tiny bit noisy, particulary the refill stage, but you get used to the "new sounds" quickly and after a month do not even notice it. The refrigerator itself is very quiet.

I like everything about this refrigerator. The only thing I have noticed is that the wire shelves in the freezer could be made better. Some of the shelves are not wide enough to hold some small items when standing. For example, My son loves Banquet dinners. To make more room and ease of grabbing them, I like to stand them on their side but the shelf does not go all the way over to the freezer wall and they fall down below. When cleaning some of the shelves, the glass comes out of the frame. It makes it awkward for cleaning. I'm worried about dropping the glass and breaking it but it does make it easier to get the shelf clean and not have build up in the cracks. So, pro and con. Everything else is great. I haven't had an ice maker in years and have never had a water dispenser so this refrigerator is a big hit in my family! No problems so far.

I searched for several weeks before replacing the LG that I had.It has more than enough room for my needs and I cant believe how quiet it runs. Overall is ave. at best. No sliding drawer for deli meats and cheese. No in door ice maker loved that option on our last fridge. Finally this thing makes a higher pitched ring or buzz when fridge is cooling. Found this to be quite annoying to say the least. This fridge is a step or two lower then our last model. We bought because our last fridge compressor went out, and we needed to replace quickly. this unit had the same dimensions as our last.

My new whirlpool refridge featuring side by side doors look pricey, but is priceless for your money .But thats not all, it has more prominant features such as water and ice dispenser flow, made easy at the tip of your fingers. The glass shelves are spill proof and extend out to your reach. The drawers offer climate control and are easy to pull out. The door shelves in both compartments offer more free space and are also easy to pull out and adjust. The icemaker also has automatic ice shutoff that prevents overflow. Last, but not lease, the water filter is easy to install, which is located at the exterior bottom of the refridge. All you do is pull it out and replace it after 6 months use. How easy is that for a 25 cubic white refridge that offers more benefits for way less than a grand!
