After install, pump to empty water not working

I purchased in late 2014, when I bought my house. Thought I'd be doing a whole new kitchen, which has not happened, so it sat in the box for 4 years. Now out of warranty, finally got around to installing it, and it will not drain the water! Install went easily according to instructions. No kinks in the drain line, no obstructions down in the pump. But it just hums away and does nothing. Open the door and it is full of water. I got burned with this purchase.

I had a Whirlpool dishwasher for 18 years that was not cleaning as efficiently so I went to purchase a new one. Since I was so happy with Whirlpool - that was the brand I purchased. I have problems with cleansers and washing dishes all the time causes my skin to crack open. Since purchasing this dishwasher I've needed to re-wash by hand most dishes in every load. It never cleans the flatware and every dish needs to be inspected for film deposits and food particles when removing. I'm very disappointed Whirlpool!

I was given new Whirlpool appliances when I bought my house in 2000. They worked without issue for the last 15 years. They haven't changed much and because they still look modern with the same quality, I came back for another purchase. Thanks Whirlpool!

I have always been a whirlpool appliance guy ! When we moved to PA from our NJ home I missed my whirlpool dishwasher tremendously ! So I went out and bought the same model for our new place (in Black) . We are very satisfied with it ! Cleans great and is very quiet. Welcome home whirlpool . Next I will soon replace our washer and dryer with whirlpool models because we miss them too!

It washes dishes. They are clean afterwards. I have had no problems with this machine. I have been using it for 6+ months. No issue.I make sure I clean it quarterly and no problems. My old dishwasher would complain all the time about the number of dirty dishes and I always had to encourage and praise for a job well done. This one says nothing and doesn't require an ego stroke. Get yourself one!

Gone are the days of me literally scrubbing the dishes clean before putting them in my old dishwasher. I can leave caked on gunk and it actually gets them clean! And none of those weird white spots on my glasses! Now even hubby can do the dishes up to my standards (as long as he points the forks up ;) )

We bought this a year ago and up until now it was great, but having trouble with it not wanting to drain, had the service guy out last week, he said we were using too much finish in it, he added white vinegar to the tub and said that should do it, but 5 out of the past 6 uses it wouldn't drain! This dishwasher is so quiet you honestly do not know it's running. I've had it over a month now and I am really happy with it...the only thing I do not like is the handle on the silverware basket.

I bought this a year and a half ago and it definitely works better than my old dishwasher. However it leaves powder residue on plastic dishes from all detergents I've tried. Also it doesn't have a food chopper so you basically have to phew ash dishes before putting them in. I do like the overnight cycle though.

I bought this from Lowes and the pump was broken out of the box. It leaked water all over my floor. The replacement unit lasted about 14 months and the pump stopped working. Of course the warranty is only 12 months. I am not buying another whirlpool.

I purchased this in December after mine quit on Christmas Day. I was very pleased with my previous dishwasher and I went looking for the same or better. I love having all the space in the racks, with the silverware on the door. Gives me much more room to get everything into one load.

We bought this dishwasher 2 months ago and have enjoyed it ever since. It is the quietest dishwasher we have owned and it gets the dishes very clean. The only problem that we have encountered is that the silverware does not always get completely dry, but that is a minor inconvenience.

We purchased this dishwasher a couple of months ago after ours unexpectedly went out. I'm glad that I read the instructions before running it because it was so quiet that I didn't realize that it was on.It cleans well and I especially like not having a shaft come up through the bottom for the water. This enables me to utilize all of the drawer space for dishes.I like the slots that are in the silverware basket, although I would like it better if the larger ones were a bit larger as they won't accept some of our silverware.We are very happy with this purchase.

This is an average dishwasher. Ensure you thoroughly hand wash dishes before you put them in the dishwasher. It does not dry the dishes well at all. I have all whirlpool appliances, but I cannot say this washer is better than average.

I bought this dishwasher as the easier less expensive of appliances to start replacing. Eventually I want a set of matching black vs the white ones I currently have. Initially we were looking for a good value, didn't want to spend to much. (We installed it ourselves to save some money too.) Very happy with this dishwasher. It's pretty quiet and does a very good job. I like the features including eco mode and delay washing. This is out first Whirlpool experience which has been good so far, maybe as we continue to replace (only as they die at this point) we will end up with a complete collection of Whirlpool!

The dishwasher is quiet, the dishes are cleaned nicely but don't dry well even though I put the liquid in that was recommended to get the dishes dryer. I really like the extra room on the lower and upper rack for taller items. This is my second Whirlpool dishwasher and I saved the flatware baskets from the last one so now I have 3 and that's really nice to have. The rack on the bottom has gotten away from us several times and rolled right off the door onto the kitchen floor so a better design might fix that going forward. All in all, I find this to be a great value and I'm glad I purchased it. I've been pleased with Whirlpool products and this one is no exception. Thank you.

So far so good. It is quiet and does a nice job. Had a minor problem w/the drying cycle but once I adjusted the JetDry indicator, no more problems. I know that we are still in the "honeymoon phase" and maybe my review may change in six months but right now I feel that this product is working just fine for the money and I would recommend it.
