Mechanics of the machine are great however the lettering is poorly done and not backed by the manufacturer. So if you like to know what features you are using this may not be the best machine.

This dryer is marketed as "stackable" but because the control panel is slanted away it is virtually impossible to read it without standing on a chair. I would not recommend you buy this dryer if you intend on stacking it.

The dryer quit heating at about the 2 year mark. Can't find ANYONE who will come and work on it. The matching washer just as bad!! It won't stay balanced and shakes my ENTIRE house!! Junk, Junk, Junk!!

The dryer does not allow you to use the low setting unless it's on the Time Dry cycle.

The Owners Manual is very poorly written when it describes the Temperature setting function. When reading it you would assume that you could change the Permanent Press cycle heat setting from medium to low by pressing the Temp button. None of the steam cycle settings has low temperature as the preset. The only cycle setting that allows the temperature to be set to low is the Time Dry cycle which does not have the steam dry function.
I am having to use my Delicate cycle with it's extra low setting if I want steam for my not so sturdy (active wear) clothes or want the machine to use it's sensor to determine if the clothes are dry. Otherwise, I have to set a time and hope I have it correct on the Time Dry cycle.

This machine is junk, its had on and off a high pitch squealing noise while running, now it won't stop and its 3 months past warranty. Don't buy its a common problem do a quick search on the internet. This should not happen.

We bought a pair - washer and dryer and one of them (we think it is the dryer) is constantly snagging our clothes. Totally unacceptable, I don't know why we waited until it was out of warranty to complain about it. We have many Samsung products and have been very happy with them, but this has not been a good experience.

My dryer has been in use for approx. 18 months. It is used about 3 times a week for household laundry. It has never been used for large quilts or heavy items (these go to the laudromat that have the large commercial machies). The first repair was for the heating element which went after 15 monthe. The second repair was for the motor which went after 18 months. Needless to say this will be my last Samsung purchase. I have also learned that with the the quality of products today an extended warranty is a necessity.

I really like everything about this dryer, except for one point--the control panel.
I needed a stacking dryer and was aware that it would end up pretty elevated. I'm 5'11' so the drum is at a very convenience height and the controls are a reach, but are not unduly high.
However, there is a problem is with the upward-slanting control panel. While very convenient for floor placement, the panel is difficult to see when the dryer is stacked. In fact, the upper part of the main control dial is blocked by the dial itself and is impossible to see, even at my height.
It's not a deal killer, but it is a definite nuisance.

The dryer was easy to set up. The directions were pretty straightforward on getting everything connected. The directions for use are clear and easy to read. The front door was reversible which helped since the new washers door was not. The dryer has worked great since installation and first use. No complaints thus far.

I have had my Samsung Stackable Washer and Dryer for a month now. So far they both have been working good. I have a few small issues with the design. When the units are stacked anyone who is shorter than 6ft will have difficulty seeing the digital screen and setting the dial on the dryer. As for the washer, if you wish to use powder or liquid detergent you must swap the insert out for each type. This is a small hindrance, but it could be designed better. Also, if the load becomes off balance while spinning you will hear a very loud noise/vibration coming from the side wall on the washer as it spins. The faster it spins the worse the noise and vibration get.

Been using my new Samsung front loading Washer and Dryer for a week now. I bought the units that have the Steam feature but are not the very top of the line ones. Both units are easy to use and quite in operation. I am very pleased with how clean the clothes come out. Initially I was worried that the steam and sanitizing modes might get the clothes too hot and damage them but so far those modes seem to work fine. There's a Quick Dry mode that's fast if you need to dry something quickly for work or school.
The only negative for me so far is having to reach any clothes at the rear of the drum. I'm 70 yrs old so for most users this probably isn't a big problem. my college age son and daughter won't have any problem.

Easy to use features will tackle any laundering needs you have. I love the wrinkle out feature.
A little over one year, right past warranty, the dryer started to squelch as it spun around. I disabled the product and found one roller totally seized. Replaced the bad roller. Seemed to fix the issue for a few days now the noise is back. I will swap out the belt and tensioner next.
This is what I planned on doing when I splurged on a Samnsung.

This Samsung dryer with steam cycles is quite an upgrade from our previous machine. We are impressed with its ability to dry large loads in about 40 minutes, and have appreciated the steam cycles to remove deep wrinkles in some of our clothing. With 2 teenage sons in high school sports, we have plenty of laundry to manage every day. One month in, we are happy with our investment in this washer/dryer pair.
